We saw that 70% of our creators would received tips to share their snapchat for punctual video calls, so we decided to create the feature for a seamless experience in the platform.

Problem

We found that MYM users would pay creators on the platform to do private shows on alternative platforms such as Snapchat !

Solution

User research -> Talked to creators to understand how their interactions happen leading to a private show on a third party platform Design -> Designed the entire booking system and found booking providers with my PM to build the service in a frictionless and cost effective way Business -> Each calendar sync costs 2 Euros per month so we put it at the end of our user flow after a creator sets up their services to ensure that our costs don't go to waste

My Scope

Owner of the feature 👁️ User research -> To understand how our creators will or can use the live stream to decide on monetization strategies (do we make it free to access, make it fully paid or a hybrid model "paid for non subscribers, free for subscribers") 🎨 Design -> Designed the entire feature with all of its use & edge cases - Design of the live stream feed - Branding of the live stream feature 💼 Business -> Exploring new business models for the platform by branding the live stream as a standalone feature

Results

👀 756 Private shows done for the first month post release 🤑 After user adoption 27000 Euros in revenue per day for a 7% increase in revenue/day
